This volunteer position requires a high-energy, self-directed, deadline-oriented individual who has exceptional communication skills and is able to maintain the blog service of SY-FA active and up to date. The successful candidate will research and write articles in an engaging style supported with photos to document the blog.
Key responsibilities
1. Edit and publish content on SY-FA blog service under the direction of theSY-FA in accordance to SY-FA international goals
2. Measure and track the effectiveness of blog
3. Perform continuous enhancements and modifications to the blog
4. As appropriate, respond promptly to blog comments.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
1. Experience of working effectively with a team of volunteers
2. Possessstrong english writing skills with a professional posture
3. The successful candidate must be computer and Internet savvy, with considerable experience in using google blog service
Job Title: SY-FA Country director
Location: Denmark, Norway, Finland

We are looking for a talented country director to establish, assign, and direct all work related to SY-FA country-branch and to supervise all areas of operation. The successful candidate will have a hands-on approach and will be committed to the expansion and success of the SY-FA projects by implementing strategies that increase productivity and enable targets achievement mainly in aiding in development projects in Yemen and integration projects in Scandinavia. Key responsibilities

Direct all operational aspects including distribution operations, human resources, administration and financial management and ensure day-to-day running tasks.

Develop Local projects and actively seeking for implementation to achieve SY-FA goals.

Meet goals and metrics.

Bring out the best of branch’s personnel by providing training, coaching, development and motivation.

Share knowledge with other country directors and headquarters on effective. practices, competitive intelligence, fund opportunities and needs.

Adhere to high ethical standards, and comply with all local regulations/applicable laws.

Network to improve the presence and reputation of the country-branch.
-
Develop networks and partnerships with national/regional/international institutions towards fund raising and project development within the country.

Coordinate the production of good quality funding proposals and respond to call for proposals

Facilitate collaborations between other SY-AF country directors and general secretariat and headquarter.

Ensure that effective grant management systems are in place and are consistent with the overall the association fund seeking and management policy and promote their application

Provide oversight to all finance and administrative services in any of implemented SY-FA’s projects in the country in question

Oversee the development and implementation of annual country-branch budget

Prepare the annual country-branch report

Ensure close contact to the headquarter regarding providing the necessary support and technical guidance for website-integration

Maintain regular meetings with the team in the country and CC meeting report to the headquarter

Ensure that the country senior management team is effective, mutually supporting and sufficiently involved in decision making

Getting local people to be involved

Direct collaboration with Yemen country branch in various arenas and cooperatively work together to ensure SY-FA goals are fulfilled
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Proven management experience at least 3 years
-
Proven previous voluntary experience in organizations with cultural, social orientation

Proficiency in English and good commands in one of the Scandinavian languages

Good local and international networks
-
At least has been living in the country in question for 3 years

Sufficient knowledge of modern management techniques and best practises

Ability to lead teams and meet goals

Familiarity with local tax and different legal rules and regulations

Excellent organizational skills

Leadership and human resources management skill

Developed ability of raising the profile of an organization, strategically networking with government agencies, donors and other international agencies, and using the media as appropriate

University degree is essential preferably master degree or above.

Demonstrated Leadership and Management skills that effectively motivate staff and support team building; demonstrated ability to manage a professional team in a multi-cultural environment; and build teams.
